We have introduced our students to the 100 Word Challenge.
The 100 Word Challenge or 100WC, is a weekly creative writing challenge for students under 16 years of age. Each week a prompt is given, which can be a picture or a series of individual words and the students can use up to 100 words to write a creative piece.
We have started writing 30 to 50 words and will progress until students can write a creative piece of no more than 100 words.
Children feel challenged and then really rewarded when they see the comments from teachers and friends.
It will be challenging but fun!
